  1. Whether it’s the off-season, pre-season, or regular season, I believe all
    athletes should up-hold the integrity and rules of the organization in
    which they play in. In this case, that would be the Seattle Sounders FC,
    New England Revolution, and the MLS. Using an excuse that no/limited
    penalties shall be enforced against one when it isn’t the regular season or
    playoffs doesn’t give a reason to play football like this.

  3. Forget colors, the Revs are one of the shittiest teams in professional
    sports. Sounders wear green and blue because the Puget Sound is green and
    blue, imagine that. I don’t know why the Revs wear patriotic colors,
    because nobody wants them representing the USA.

  4. This kind of play in the pre-season? As a fan of football and the Sounders,
    it really disgusts me that both teams played in this fashion. I think
    Alonso should receive a few games of suspension for the regular season, due
    to Tierney being out for the injury. Though the Sounders won, not happy
    with the way they played. Not reflecting this World Class kind of play the
    MLS hopes to one day become.

  5. Why do people think that anything that happens in pre-season has any effect
    on the regular season? There is no possible way that someone could be
    suspended from MLS league play for something in pre-season.

    to say that the second goal was a pretty nice finish.

  16. oh yeah, The New England guy was so tough when he slapped Alonso in the
    back of the head when he wasn’t looking at :50. regardless of Alonso’s dumb
    and dangerous tackle there is no reason to retaliate with a cheap shot. At
    least Alonso was going for the ball unlike the NE player who just shoves
    Johnson as he runs past.
